It is in the nature of a rock to do nothing. It has no thoughts, it has no brain. It is reasonable to state that a rock has an IQ of 0 - the complete lack of thought process seems a good zero point for any measurement of intelligence. Now, if, when placed in the same situation as the rock, a person takes action which is more stupid than doing nothing, is it fair to say that they have a negative IQ?
